Bluewave diving offer daily scuba diving ini Bangka, Gangga,
Sahaung and Talise. This dive spots are different with Bunaken
and Lembeh Strait. Bunaken island offers more wall diving and
coral reef. Lembeh strait offer mostly much diving slope black
sandy bottom with small creatures. But diving ini bangka island
you will find mostly nice colourful soft corals with more fishes.
Some of the dive spots also showing amazing critters. Bangka
and talisei have pinnacles and walls that offer a welcome change
from muck too.
DAILY DIVE TRIPS TO BANGKA AREA
- Trips departs at approximately 8 am
- 2 morning dive, then lunch on the island / boat
- 1 afternoon dive
- Back to the resort around 5 pm
The best blue-water site between Bunaken and Lembeh is Tanjung
Arus, on Talisei's seaward tip ( an island beside Bangka island
). A promontory of rock juts from the island forming a pinnacle
that cascades from 6 meters to 30. Schools of snapper and sweetlips
patrol, along with the odd Napoleon wrasse. Grand sea fans enliven
a healthy reef that shelters leaf fish, lionfish, and a polychromatic
array of nudibranchs. A colossal swim-through penetrates the
pinnacle, with one large opening opposite two smaller ones,
and a large chamber in between. Crinoids inside the shady, central
chamber open as if it is night, exposing commensal shrimp and
squat lobsters. The blue beckons from either end, and there
is nowhere to get lost. Although very close to the mainland,
Tanjung Arus felt like a dive in the open sea
Air Banua, also off of Talisei, reminded me of Bunaken, with
a nearly sheer wall dropping to over 40 meters, sea fans, large
sponges, and vast schools of pyramid butterflyfish. At Bangka
we found sea fans with abundant pygmy seahorses, cuttlefish,
sponges hiding huge frogfish, and a painted anglerfish slowly
flicking her lure in hopes of attracting an unwary meal. There
was also a gorgeous field of soft coral, rare for that area.
DAILY DIVE TRIPS TO LEMBEH STRAIT
- Trips departs at approximately 8 am
- 2 morning dive, then lunch on the island / boat
- 1 afternoon dive
- Back to the resort around 5 pm
Lembeh Strait is the best MUCK DIVING in the world. Paradise
for small strange creatures. You are able to make a daily trip
to Lembeh Strait with Bluewave diving. Lembeh Strait have more
than 25 dive sites, and all the dive site are mostly slope,
black sandy buttom and not so much current. Visiblity is around
15 meter, water temperature is around 26 degrees
